Missing Leeds Man Update

The body of a man found in a river in North Yorkshire has now been confirmed as being Mohammed Shaho Saminpoor from Leeds who had been reported missing.

Mr Saminpoor, aged 35, from Burmantofts, was reported missing on December 12 last year and had been the subject of public appeals for information.

His body was recovered from the River Aire at Kellingley on Wednesday, February 22, and his identity was subsequently confirmed.

There were no suspicious circumstances, and the North Yorkshire Coroner’s Office has been informed.
