Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology is used within West Yorkshire Police  to help detect, deter and disrupt criminality at a local, force, regional and national level, including tackling traveling criminals, Organised Crime Groups and terrorists. ANPR provides lines of enquiry and evidence in the investigation of crime and is used by forces throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

PNLD (Police National Legal Database) is the leading national police information resource of criminal justice legislation and is governed West Yorkshire Police. Relied upon by all 43 Home Office police forces, PNLD is a comprehensive criminal law resource and a critical tool to ensure that anyone with a duty to investigate or prosecute offences can apply the law correctly. 
VIPER® are a team within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire. The team provides a nationally available video identification service including a range of identification related products and services to the police every day.

The West Yorkshire Disabled Police Association (DPA) launched in 2016 following the need for a more collective voice when look at disability within the Diversity and Inclusion agenda.

West Yorkshire Police Sikh Association (WYPSA) is a staff network, which has been established to support the needs of all people either working or volunteering for West Yorkshire Police and those from other Forces who do not have a fully constituted network and the community.
