Neighbourhood Watch is the largest voluntary crime prevention group in the country. It is based on the idea of communities coming together to help reduce crime and increase community cohesion. People join Neighbourhood Watch for many different reasons, whether it is to improve personal safety and security around their home, or to become part of a group and meet new people. Neighbourhood Watch also brings communities together that share a sense of responsibility for where they live.
Monday 13th June 2020 saw the celebration of Neighbourhood Watch becoming a part of communities throughout West Yorkshire. We had planned to celebrate in style with an event designed to say thank you to our hard working Neighbourhood Watch Volunteers, at our Carr Gate Training Centre, but unfortunately due to lock down restrictions at the time this was not able to go ahead.
