Police Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatal Cycling Incident in Clayton West

Officers in the Major Collision Enquiry Team are appealing for witnesses to a serious incident which occurred on Bank End Lane on 12.30pm on Monday, 15 June.

A 65 year old man was cycling in a group in the direction of Clayton West when he progressed ahead and negotiated a left hand bend in the road

Moments later, he was found on the floor with life changing injuries and transported to Leeds General Infirmary.

Sadly, Patrick Bredin from the Huddersfield area passed away on 22nd June.

Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone in the area at the time who may have seen what happened.

Likewise, anyone with Dash-cam footage or CCTV is urged to contact the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference *316662.
