Police Confirm Identity of Man Who Died in Incident on Fell Lane, Keighley

Police can confirm the identity of the man who died in Keighley last week.

George Dore, aged 49, of Fell Lane, was found seriously injured on 8 April at a property on Fell Lane.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance staff but was pronounced dead a short time later.

His family have paid tribute to him, saying: “He was a kind, generous, well liked local man who was much loved and will be greatly missed. A legend of the town that was loved.”

Three people have now been charged with his murder. They all appeared at Bradford Magistrates court on Monday and today (13 April) at Bradford Crown Court. All three have been remanded into custody.

A provisional trial date has been set for 27 September.

One woman and two men have been charged with murder following the death of a man in Keighley.

On Thursday 8 April, police were called to reports of a man who was injured.

Emergency services attended a property on Fell Lane, Keighley and found a man in his 40’s with a serious injury.

He was taken to hospital but was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Angela Thornton, 48, of Nightingale Street, Keighley, Anthony Atha, 53, of West Bank Close, Keighley and Leslie Walker, 46, of Nightingale Street Keighley have all been charged with murder.

They will be appearing at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 12 April).

Detectives are investigating following the death of a man in Keighley.

Police were called at 3:56am this morning (8 April) to reports of a man who was injured.

Emergency services attended a property on Fell Lane in Keighley and found a man in his 40s with a serious injury.

He was taken to hospital but was pronounced deceased a short time later.

One woman and two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with this incident.

A large police cordon is currently in place whilst officers continue with their enquiries.
