People in West Yorkshire are being asked to stay alert as large numbers visit the county this week to celebrate the festive period.

As of the 5th August 2022 the Home Office have repealed the requirement under the Immigration Rules for certain foreign nationals to register with the police. Therefore, the West Yorkshire Police Overseas Registration Office will no longer receive or process registration applications.

Who are VIPER?
VIPER are a small team within West Yorkshire Police who are the territorial police force responsible for policing the areas of West Yorkshire in North East England.
Firearms Licensing - The primary objectives of the West Yorkshire Police Firearms Licensing department are to; Protect public safety by preventing foreseeable or avoidable harm, Deliver an efficient licensing process that is proportionate, rigorous, cost effective, fair and timely and Provide a fair and transparent service to the public.

West Yorkshire Police has an internal magazine for its staff and retired police officers. The Force does not publish or distribute any other emergency services publications.
