The price of these metals rise and fall like share prices and have risen sharply in recent years, as a result this has led to an increase in the theft of catalytic convertors. Cars that are most often targeted are older Toyota and Honda motor vehicles as well as some hybrid vehicles, as these vehicles have two power sources, so the catalytic converter is used less frequently. The metals are less likely to corrode, meaning they can be worth more and therefore more attractive to thieves.

Wednesday March 6, 2024Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Dewsbury.The victim had just withdrawn a small amount of money from a cash machine in High Street, Westtown, when he was followed by two males on to St Matthew Road.
