UPDATE Appeal: Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Heckmondwike

Police have confirmed the identity of a woman who died following a road traffic collision with a lorry in Heckmondwike.
Jean Hepworth, who was 69 and from Liversedge, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which happened at around 11.05am on Wednesday in Westgate.
Jean’s family have today issued this photo of her in Whitby, which was somewhere she enjoyed visiting.
The Major Collision Enquiry Team are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision, as well as anyone who may have dashcam footage of it or what happened immediately prior to it.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision involving a pedestrian in Heckmondwike.
The Major Collison and Enquiry Team (MCET) would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision which took place at about 11.05am today ( 26 February 2020) on Westgate, Heckmondwike.
It occurred after a DAF large goods vehicle collided with a 69-year-old female pedestrian who was crossing the road.
The HGV had been turning right from Westgate onto Market Street when it was in collision with the woman.
Emergency services attended but the woman was pronounced to have died at the scene.
Sergeant Martyn Burns of the Major Collision Enquiry Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate this very serious collision which has sadly resulted in the death of the pedestrian involved.
“We would very much like to speak to anyone who saw or has dashcam footage of the collision or the lorry in the moments before it occurred.
“I would ask anyone who can assist our enquiries to contact MCET on 101 referencing police number 13200101677.
