UPDATE Appeal For Witnesses: Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Bradford

Police are continuing to appeal for information after a pedestrian who was seriously injured in a road traffic collision died in hospital yesterday.

Stephen Ward, who was 37 and from Bradford, suffered a serious head injury when he was in collision with a blue Volvo XC 60 on the A650 Shipley Airedale Road in Bradford at about 1.10pm on Wednesday.

The driver of the vehicle was spoken to at the scene by officers.

The investigation is now being led by the Major Collision Enquiry Team, who are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or with dashcam footage which may assist to come forward.

Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Bradford.

It happened at about 1.10pm yesterday (Wednesday) when a blue Volvo XC 60 was in collision with a pedestrian on the A650 Shipley Airedale Road, close to its junction with Filey Street.

The pedestrian, a man in his thirties, suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital where his condition today is said to be critical but stable.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of what happened to contact the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team either by calling 101 or using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.
