UPDATE: Man Injured In Fail To Stop Collision, Todmorden

In an update to the appeal below, officers have now spoken with the driver (a woman from outside the West Yorkshire Police area) who has come forwards.

The 78-year-old pedestrian remains in hospital for treatment to serious injuries which are not described as life threatening.

Police are continuing to appeal for information and anyone who can assist the enquiry is asked to contact the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101 referencing log 2093 of 29/11/2019.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop collision involving a pedestrian in Todmorden.

The Western Area Roads Policing Unit would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision which took place at around 10.40pm on Friday November 29 on the A6033 Rochdale Road outside the Bridge End Working Mens Club.

It occurred after a small, dark, hatchback car was in collision with a man while the male was on a zebra crossing.

The vehicle, which was travelling from Todmorden towards Rochdale, did not stop at the scene.

The 78-year-old man suffered serious but not life threatening injuries and continues to be treated in hospital.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who saw the collision, may have seen the suspect vehcile before or after the incident or has dashcam footage is urged to get in touch.

Officers would like also like to speak to anyone who sees a car in the local area with damage to its front end or headlights.
