UPDATE: Man Named After Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Holmes Road, Sowerby Bridge

A motorcyclist who died following a collision in Sowerby Bridge on Monday has been named as Thomas Feather, from Sowerby Bridge.

Police are continuing to appeal for information following the collision which happened on Holmes Road, Sowerby Bridge, shortly after 4.40pm on Monday. A black Yamaha motorcycle beign ridden away from the direction of Sowerby Bridge Centre and a Silver Kia Cee’d car, which was travelling in the opposite direction, have been in collision on a bend in the road.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision itself or who saw either vehicle immediately prior to the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police via 101, quoting log number 1308 of 9 October.

Police are appealing following a fatal road traffic collision yesterday in Sowerby Bridge.

The incident happened on Holmes Road, Sowerby Bridge at around 16:41 on Monday 9 October.

A Yamaha motorbike and a Kia Cee'd car were involved in the collision, they were travelling in opposite directions and the collision occurred on the bend in the road.

Emergency services including ambulance were called to the scene.

The 42-year-old male rider suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Anyone with any information about this collision or saw either of the vehicles prior to the collision is asked to contact the police via 101 quoting log number *1308 of 9 October.
