UPDATE: Murder Investigation Launched in Bradford

Police investigating the death of a man in Bradford have made a further arrest in connection with the incident.

The 17-year-old male was arrested on Wednesday and remains in custody today (Friday) in connection with the death of 37-year-old Paul Ackroyd.

Mr Ackroyd was found with head injuries in Jinnah Court, Manningham, in the early hours of Saturday, 23 February and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Three people earlier arrested on suspicion of murder have since been released on bail for enquiries to continue. The fourth person arrested has been released without charge.

Detectives are still appealing for anyone who was in the Gracechurch Street area of Manningham between 2am and 4am on Saturday, 23 February to contact them.

Police investigating the death of a man in Bradford are appealing for witnesses.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Gracechurch Street area of Manningham between 2am and 4am on Saturday, 23 February.

Four people remain in custody following the death of the man, who was found in Jinnah Court at about 3.52am on Saturday and pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives can today also confirm the identity of the deceased as Paul Ackroyd, who was 37 years old and from Bradford.

Police were called to Jinnah Court in Bradford at 3.52 this morning (February 23) to reports a man lying injured in the street.

 

On arrival ambulance crews confirmed that the man had died.

 

Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody at this time.

 

Enquiries are ongoing by the Homicide and Major Enquiry team.
