UPDATE: Police Release CCTV Image In Connection with Stabbing in St Peter's Street in Huddersfield

Detectives have released an images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a stabbing in Huddersfield last month. 

On Monday 15 October at around 5pm, police were called to reports of an on-going altercation with a number of males.

Officers were deployed to the scene and found three males with injuries consistent of stab wounds.

Five males, aged 15, 17, 24, 25 and 26 were arrested in connection with the incident and all have been released pending further investigation.

Another man handed himself in to police on Thursday afternoon (8 November).

Enquiries remain on going.

Detective Inspector Mark Catney, of Kirklees CID, said: “We have released this images in the hope that members of the public will recognise this man and come forward to the police with any information.

“This was believed to be a targeted attack amongst people known to each other.

 “I would urge anyone who recognizes this man , or has any information about this incident to come forward and contact the police to assist with our on-going investigation.”

Police have arrested four people in connection with the stabbing on St Peter’s Street in Huddersfield yesterday afternoon.

On Monday 15 October at around 5pm, police were called to reports of an ongoing altercation with a number of males.

Officers were deployed to the scene and found three males with injuries consistent of stab wounds.

They were all taken to hospital for treatment.

Four males, aged 15, 17, 24 and 26 were all arrested last night for section 18 wounding with intent offences.

Enquiries remain ongoing with police cordons still in place.

Detective Inspector Mark Catney, of Kirklees CID, said: “Our investigation remains ongoing today to establish the circumstances of the incident.

“This was believed to be a targeted attack amongst people known to each other and we have four people currently in custody.

“Last night and throughout today there will be high visibility police patrols in and around the area by our NPT teams to provide reassurance to the local communities.

“I would urge anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward and contact the police to assist with our enquiries.”

Police are currently in St Peter’s Street in Huddersfield investigating three suspected stabbings.

It is believed that three males were injured – they are currently at hospital with what are believed to be none life threatening injuries.

Enquiries into the incidents remain ongoing and officers are in the area investigating the incidents and providing a reassuring presence.

Armed officers have been part of the response.

Enquiries remain on going in the area and any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1313 of today (Monday 15 October).

One person has been arrested.
