Appeal: Assault Outside Heckmondwike Pub

Police are appealing for information following an assault outside a pub in Heckmondwike last month.

The incident on Friday 18 December around 9.25pm at the Red Lion pub in Heckmondwike where a 24-year-old male was assaulted by two men.

The victim received facial injuries and received hospital treatment.

Suspect one is described as a white male, around 5'10, around 27 years old, of medium build, brown hair tied up with elastic bands which looked like dreadlocks.

The second suspect is described as white, around 5'10 aged between 25 and 27 years, stocky build, shaven dark short hair.

Detective Constable Annette Lane of Kirklees CID said; "The incident occurred on a busy Friday night where I am certain that people who may have been at the public house may have heard or seen something. I would ask that anyone who was there to think back to if they saw something and ask that they come forward with any information. Enquiries are ongoing."
