Appeal: Attempted Robbery in Milnsbridge, in Huddersfield

Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in Milnsbridge.

At around 8:30pm on Sunday 7 February, at Greenway, in Milnsbridge, Huddersfield, a man approached the victim from behind and attempts to steal her handbag. The suspect continues to pull the handbag before pushing her to the floor.

He stood over her continuing to try to steal the bag but the victim kicked the suspect causing him to fall over and she ran away.

The male is described as in his 30's, around 5"11 to 6"0 and a stocky build. He spoke with a foreign accent and had his face covered with a black scarf and had dark eyes and eyebrows. He was wearing a black hooded top, blue jeans and black muddy Nike trainers and black leather gloves.

Detective Constable Andy Clayton, of Huddersfield CID, said: "We are keen to speak to anyone in the vicinity of this attempted robbery on Sunday afternoon who can provide any information about the suspects movements before or after this offence."
