Appeal: Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Brighouse

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Brighouse. 

The incident occurred at around 4.55pm on Thursday, 22 June on Bradford Road, when a white Mercedes A180 and a pedestrian were in collision. The Mercedes was travelling away from Bailiff Bridge. 

The pedestrian, a 57-year-old man, was taken to hospital. He recently died as a result of his injuries.  

The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene.

Sergeant Ann Drury, of the Major Collision and Enquiry Team, said: "Our enquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances of the collision and we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch with police.  

"We would also like to hear from anyone who saw the pedestrian or the white Mercedes driving in the area prior to the collision, to get in touch with us."
