Appeal: Police Issue Images Following Serious Assault, Call Lane, Leeds

Police are today issuing a picture of three men they want to speak to in connection with a serious, unprovoked assault in a Leeds pub.

Leeds District Police would like to speak to anyone who can identify the three men pictured who they would like to speak with in connection with an assault at the New Penny Public House on Call Lane on Saturday January 23rd.

The incident took place at about 1.30am after the victim, a 39-year-old man who was in the bar with his wife, was struck in the face with a sharp implement by a man he did not know.

The victim suffered serious facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Phil Joyce of Leeds District CID, said: "This was a violent, unproved attack in which the victim suffered serious facial injuries.

"We would like to speak to the three men pictured in connection with the incident ,who we believe could assist with enquiries. I would ask anyone who can help identify them to contact us.

"Anyone who saw what happened or has information about the incident is asked to contact myself at Leeds CID on 101.

"Information can also be given to the independent Crimestoppers charity, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
