Appeal: Robbery, Greenway, Huddersfield

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in an incident in Huddersfield.

Huddersfield CID would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident which took place between 5.05pm and 5.10pm on Sunday January 10 at the junction of Greenway and Tintern Avenue in Golcar.

It took place after the victim, an 18-year-old Huddersfield man, was approached by a man who demanded money. The victim refused but was then grabbed by a further three men who held him.

The suspects fled shortly afterwards with a small amount of cash taken from the victim.

The first suspect, who grabbed the 18-year-old, was described as an Asian male, 16/17 years old, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall and thin with muscular arms, dark spikey hair and a small moustache.  He was wearing a black Adidas jacket with red stripes down the arms, black trousers and black shoes.

The second suspect was white, 15/16-years-old, 5ft 6 to 5ft 7ins tall with short closely shaved dark hair and cwas lean shaven. He was wearing a maroon zipped up hoody, blue jeans and black trainers.

Finally, the third and fourth men were described as white men wearing blue jeans.

DC Oliver Coates of Huddersfield CID, said: "We are investigating this incident and would like to speak to anyone who has information about those involved or who may have seen the robbery itself.

"Information can be given to Huddersfield CID on 101 or the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
