Appeal: Robbery, Hall Green, Wakefield

Detectives in Wakefield are appealing for information following a robbery in Hall Green, Wakefield on Tuesday afternoon (26/1).

The incident occurred around 2.20pm when four men entered a property on Painthorpe Lane, threatening and assaulted a 41-year-old male occupant, before making off with an amount of cash.

Other family members were present during the incident but were unharmed.

The suspects are all described as being males in their early 20’s.

They were seen getting in to a 4 door black saloon type vehicle before making off.

Detective Inspector Dave Rogerson of Wakefield CID said; "I believe this to have been a targeted attack, and has clearly been very distressing for the victims. This incident has occurred in the early afternoon, when there will have people going about their daily business and I am certain someone will have seen something. I would appeal to anyone in and around the area of Painthorpe Lane on Tuesday afternoon who may have any information, or who seen the men acting suspiciously, or getting in to the black car to come forward. Enquiries are ongoing."
