The Herbert Protocol is a national scheme being introduced by West Yorkshire police and other agencies which encourages carers to compile useful information which could be used in the event of a vulnerable person going missing.
Tuesday 16 April 2024 Owen Sharp, who was previously the subject of an appeal, has been found and has been taken for medical treatment. Officers would like to thank all those who provided information which assisted in the search for Owen.

A man and woman have been jailed for murdering a man in Bradford.
Stephen Kershaw, 65 was reported missing on 13 September by a concerned family member who hadn’t seen him, he was found dead in his bedroom alcove at his home address on 16 September.

A man from Bradford has been sentenced for causing death of a 7 year old boy by dangerous driving after a collision on Manchester Road in Bradford in August 2020.
Wednesday, 14 February 2024At 2.37pm today (Wednesday), police received a call from a member of the public reporting a body in the Huddersfield Broad Canal in Aspley, Huddersfield. Officers attended and a male was recovered from the water.He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Kyle Butters was jailed today (Friday) at Bradford Crown Court after he pleaded guilty to his involvement in the offence on April 12 last year.
