UPDATE: Further Arrest For Firearms Discharge, Stoney Ridge Avenue, Bradford

Police investigating a firearms discharge in Bradford at a house in Stoney Ridge Avenue on 22 May have made a further arrest.

The 27-year-old man from Bradford was arrested today on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

He remains in custody.

Four other men aged 22, 27, 36 and 44 have previously been arrested in connection with this incident. They have all been released pending further enquiries except for the 36-year-old man who was released without charge.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around 1am on 22 May or has any information about the incident is asked to contact the Protective Services Crime team on 101, quoting 13170230201.

Police investigating a firearms discharge in Bradford have made a further arrest.  

The 22-year-old man from Bradford was arrested today in connection with a firearms discharge at a house in Stoney Ridge Avenue on 22 May. 

Three other men aged 27, 36 and 44 have been arrested in connection with this incident. 

Two have been released pending further enquiries, while the 36-year-old man was released without charge.  

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at around 1am on 22 May is asked to contact the Protective Services Crime team on 101, quoting 13170230201.

Police investigating a firearms discharge in Bradford have made three arrests. 

The men, aged 27, 36 and 44, have been arrested in connection with an incident where a firearm was discharged at a house in Stoney Ridge Avenue on 22 May.  

All are from the Bradford area and were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.  

The 44-year-old man remains in custody at this time.  

The 27-year-old man has been bailed, while the 36-year-old man has been released without charge.  

Detective Chief Inspector Jaz Khan, of Protective Services Crime, said:  

"We are continuing to treat this matter as a targeted incident and our investigation is ongoing. 

"We would again appeal to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at around 1am on 22 May to contact the team on 101, quoting 13170230201. 

"Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."

Police have issued the below statement following a firearms discharge in Stoneyridge Avenue, Bradford in the early hours of today.

Detective Chief Inspector Jaz Khan, of Protective Services Crime, said:  

"Police were called at 1.23am today to Stoneyridge Avenue, Bradford after a report of a house being shot at. 

"Armed officers attended and found damage to a window which appeared to be consistent with the discharge of a firearm. 

"No injuries were reported.  

"Enquiries are at an early stage, but this is being treated as a targeted incident. 

"There is not believed to be a wider threat to the community at this time and it is not believed to be linked to a firearms discharge in Parkway in the early hours of Saturday. 

"We are conducting a thorough investigation to find those responsible for this incident and anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity is asked to contact the team on 101, quoting 13170230201. 

"Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
