In return, Home Officer Forces will retain their previous service and current level of pay (excluding force specific benefits, ie. London Weighting) and annual leave entitlement

What next ………. The Recruitment Process

Stage 1 – Your application

You will need to provide evidence of your competency in your current role and as an experienced officer you will have a wealth of examples to draw on.  Please ensure you review the competency and values framework document before applying. 

Stage 2 – Interview

You will be interviewed by two Senior Officers who will assess you against the personal qualities need and also your commitment to West Yorkshire Police and the challenges that we face as a county.

Stage 3 – Pre-employment checks

If you are successful at the interview, you will be invited in for a medical and fitness test. If you pass these we will also carry out vetting checks and contact your current force, HR department for employment references.

Stage 4 – Final Offer

Provided that you meet of the above checks, we will write to you offering you a position with us.

Please do not serve your notice to your current Force until you have received your final offer with us.
