Priorities

  • Ward 2 :  Nuisance bikes – alot of work being carried out around this issue. Teams dedicated to bringing suspects to justice. This is linked in with day of Action and Op MatrixNuisance youths – increase in calls and recent damage to bus. Partnership working and increased patrols.  

  • Ward 4, Lee Way, Keystone Avenue and Manor Grove: Rough Sleepers, Town Centre/Surrounding Streets: Sweep to be completed alongside Riverside Homeless team Meeting to be organised by Cllr Forster alongside Trinity with a view to Partnership working/Positive action, Look at possibility of opening up trinity or alternative building to accommodate rough sleepers locally over the colder months.Shop Theft/Purse Dipping’s – Town Centre/Junction 32.  – Due to Christmas period approaching – Historically over recent years there has been a large rise in these offences: Extra patrols, partnership working with Shop Watch. Crime prevention stalls, Purse Bells, Personal security,HGV’s Carr Wood Road/Whistler Drive: Work to continue regarding initial warning letters to those drivers not adhering, Transport Managers advised of the same. 

  • Ward 3b:  King George’s Fields – youth nuisance, drugs and motor bikes, patrnership working to combat these issue.Gannet Close ASB and problem tenants, partnership working.
